Feeding question

For the last week now DS has been wanting to eat every 2 hours instead of his usual every 3 to 4 hours. He eats 6oz 5 times a day but with these shorter time periods hes had about 7 bottles a day recently. He has also been waking up in the wee hours of the morning for a feeding instead of sttn. I summed it up to a growth spurt. Today the sitter texted me at work and said he ran out of bottles [we only have 5 big bottles and I premake them every morning]. This irritated me because common sense is to make another, duh. Then i started thinking about it and im wondering if i should start making 3oz bottles and have him eat every 1.5 to 2 hours. We have tons of the 4oz bottles so we could use those as well as the 8oz ones.

Is this a reasonable idea or should I just keep him at the 6oz even if he is
eating more frequently than normal? I do realize hes eating more frequently because he is hungry most likely due to a growth spurt. So this is why i am unsure. I also found what looks like white little sores on his gums and they are swollen so could all this be teething?

Re: Feeding question

  • I'd keep it as is. When I down Addy's oz she FLIPS THE EFF OUT. Unless you want to just pack it that way and have them feed him 6 at a time. Does that make sense? Is that what you're saying? I'd feed him more oz less often than less oz more often. KWIM?

Yeah, that makes sense. I was just unsure about him having 6oz so often and him being overfed...if that makes sense? He is a porker though so I can see him being pissed if we were giving him less.

  • They won't overeat. Unless they puke or spit up a lot. He needs it haha!
