Britax owners(Advocate & Boulevard) I have a question..

I'm FINALLY getting around to order AJ's convertible seat and don't know which one to pick. I have it between the Boulevard 70 G3 and the Advocate 70 G3. I guess I'm worried about it (the Advocate) not fitting well with an infant seat since it looks like it's quite a bit larger than the Boulevard. According to the Britax site it says they both are pretty much the same except for two things, the Advocate has the Side Impact Cushion and the Click and Safe Indicator. Are those features on the Advocate worth the extra money?  Which one do you have and why?

  • My friends Advocate just came and the sides are softer than I expected....for some reason I pictured those giant plastic things hard as a Rick. Anyway, it's really wide. So I guess it depends on your backseat. The print I love, only comes in the Advocate, which sucks because if we got that, there would be no other room in the back seat for others once FF. So we are going to get one of the smaller Britax car seats.

Ditto. I didn't go for the Advocate because it looked like it would be hard for a baby to have any view at all with those side impact wings.  Weird reason? Sure, but the Boulevard is a very safe and effective seat.  So I'm ok with that reason.

The Boulevard also has the headwings though, the Marathon is the one that doesn't I think. The advocate has the extra white side impact protection thing on the outside. We have the Boulevard and like it. The Advocate was just too bulky with that stuff on the outside and I wasn't into the click safe.

That's because I'm an idiot.. I have the Marathon.  My lord I'm losing my mind.

  • We have the Boulevard 70CS (I guess last years model?) and we are very happy with it. Advocate looked a lot bigger and since the Boulevard is already plenty big we didn't want any bigger.

  • We have Boulevards and love them. We have both the CS and regular models. I would recommend the regular one. I feel like it's easier to get the straps tight.

  • We have the advocate and I love it.  To be honest, I didn't compare them.  It was the highest rated so I grabbed the box and left the store, it took 5 min :)  It's huge but I don't care how it looks.  It's a car seat.  All that mattered to me is that he's safe and plusalso we only have one kid so it size wasn't a factor at all.
