Yeah, that was my kid at Chuck E Cheese...

...who got into the big hamster tunnel on the ceiling and wouldn't come out.

I swear, I looked away for all of 30sec to talk to another mom while we were at DS' BFF's bday party and some kid "helped" him up into the hamster tunnel.  He made it into a far corner before I found him and wouldn't budge.  Of course, I was panicing thinking that he was scared and crying, but he was happy as a clam watching everyone play from way up high.  I had to enlist a friend's nearly 5yo to go get him.  Of course, the kid got distracted and started to play before he got my kid out 20min later.  It was funny & scary all at the same time.

Reminder:  don't let your 2-3yo near the fun-looking, ceiling-clinging hamster tunnels.  Its hypertension in the making.

  • Those things freak me out. ?We came across them at an indoor play area once, and I was so glad Evan had no interest in climbing very far up. ?I was so paranoid that some kid would have vomited or something up there. ?I mean, what are the chances they get cleaned very often? ?Ok, I'm probably a freak for being afraid of that, but I'm still glad Evan doesn't like them.

  • Oh, yeah, that thing was probably pretty nasty.

I totally wiped him down after he got out.  I could only imagine that the inside of it smelled like pee and little kid BO.  Blech.

  • We went to CEC today too. I was the mom that pulled my daughter out of the hamster tunnel thing and don't you worry I didn't do it without accidentally banging her head on the first step too. Ugh! I felt so bad. She was watching one of the kids on the ride thing, I turned around to ask DH to bring me my drink I look back and she's already ran over to that thing and has started to climb in. AGH! She only made it to the second step though. I guess she saw her chance and made a run for it, haha!! I don't know what I would have done if she'd made it any further...
