I love your siggy pic!  Did you take the picture yourself?  If so, what camera settings and lighting did you use?

thanks guys! yep, i took it i used my 50mm lens (has a wide aperature) and i can't remember which settings in the manual function to get it so the lighting/ISO would be right, but i messed with it a lot beforehand (while DD was napping) so things would be set and ready to go once she woke up lol

I'm gonna need you to bring your fancy pants camera over to my place so I can get a cute Christmas pic.  I have a decent camera but I can't get anything close to your pic.  I'm sure it's mostly user error so I need lessons. lol

aw, geeze, thank you i have the canon t2i. if you have a canon DSLR, i highly recommend this lens:

it's the one i used for this photo. it's relatively cheap (well, for a lens), and it takes GREAT shots. love this lens
