HCG after a D and C

Hi ladies. I am about to start trying again after my 3rd loss. I just had a quick question for those of you who had a D and C; How long did it take for your HCG to zero out? My D and C was on October 10th and my baby was only measuring 6 weeks. I was supposed to be 9 weeks. I have already had a period and was just wondering if this meant my levels were at zero. TIA

    I didn't have a D&C so I can't help you with that question but I remember seeing you on the May board. So I just wanted to say that I'm so sorry for your losses. Welcome to the board.

    Im sorry for your losses. To answer your question, your hcg have to be a <5, from my understanding, to get your period. Best of luck, praying your next baby is your rainbow baby.

    5 weeks after my D&C my levels were 23. A week later I got my period, and a week after that my levels were at 7.

    I am not sure how everyone else is, but that is my experience.

    If you've had a period, your HCG is most likely at, or close to 0. You could check by taking an Internet cheapie or FRER HPT. I was still getting positives even when my HCG was getting really low.
    TTC #1 since January 2011
    BFP#1 April 12, 2011, EDD December 24, 2011, strong heart beat at 7w3d, d&c at 10w6d
    BFP#2 Oct 24, 2011, natural miscarriage, EDD unknown
    After RPL testing my losses and subsequent infertility are considered unexplained.
    Cycle #22: Femara, TI, and progesterone = BFP!! 
    BFP#3 Dec 21, 2012. Beta #1 @14dpo = 134, progesterone 67.8. Beta #2 @ 17dpo = 664! Team green, EDD 9/1/13, healthy baby boy born 9/12/13!

    Sorry for your loss.

    It took mine about 5 weeks.

    Hopefully AF shows up sooner for you!

    I'm so sorry for your losses.  I had a natural miscarriage and my levels were very slow to fall.  Thursday before last, I was at 59, and then I got AF last Monday.  I was confused because I didn't think it was possible, but the bleeding finally stopped together with AF and now I'm at <1, so I think I wasn't quite down to 0 when I started but AF helped finish clearing everything out.

    BFP #1 8/14/10, DS born 4/30/11 
    BFP #2 9/30/12, M/C 10/23/12 
    BFP #3 12/16/12, CP 12/20/12 
    BFP #4 1/20/13, DD born 10/9/13

    I'm sorry for your loss and Welcome to the board. Usually your levels are <5 when you get your period.

    I had my DnC on Sept 26 and as of this Monday my HCG was still measuring at 11. My first AF also just started the day after thanksgiving. It seems to me like it all took longer than many other women on here describe. GL to you in TTC!

    My hcg levels took a while to go down. Once my period started...my doctor said I don't have to come back for any lab draws because since my period started my hcg level was low enough. 
    BFP#1 2nd cycle TTC yay! EDD 4/1/13 ER Visit w/ 1st US 8/6/12 @ 6w5d- Strong HB! 2nd US 9/4/12- 10w2d...MMC only measuring 9w1d. D&C 9/6/12 Hoping the next one is our Rainbow....
