XP: Crazy betas?!

I'm so confused! Just wondering if anyone else has gone through something similar?! Beta #1 at 9dp5dt came back at 64. Five days later it was 91. Ive been preparing for another miscarriage. RE wanted another beta just to make sure. So today, exactly 48 hours later my betas came back at 200 something. My nurse told me the exact number but I was in too much shock to remember! Nurse says maybe 2 or even all 3 of the embies implanted initially but that we lost one or two between those first two betas. I'm trying to stay realistic. And 200 something at 5w is still awfully low. has anyone had anything like this happen?! I want so bad to be hopeful and optimistic but I'm trying to be realistic too. I'll repeat betas again on Friday.

I don't think 200 is that low for 5 w. did you check betabase? Sounds like vanishing twin is possible here. FX you get great news next time.

I don't have any experience or advice, I just wanted to say that I hope things work out and there is at least one LO growing in there

My LO was a slow starter. My first beta at 14 dpiui was 200 something and when taken 5 days later it did not double like it should have but there was an increase. They did tell me to prepare for things to go either way; however, my 3rd and 4th beta kept increasing. Now I have a 17 month old.

First beta 11dp3dt = 49

Second beta 13dp3dt = 50

Third beta 15dp3dt = 98

Fourth beta 17dp3dt = 279

When the second beta came in, I was heartbroken.  I was sure I was out, my RE even told me it is ok to grieve.  But the beta kept rising.  I had a vanishing twin.  I always thought this was just something people said to keep up ladies hopes, until it happened to me.  So it really is a possibility.  I then had my first u/s at 5w6d and we saw the tiny little flicker of a heartbeat.  My little guy is now 5 months old!

Good luck!   I hope you get a big beta rise on Friday!!  Don't give up just yet!!

I think it is realistic to think that you might have a slow starter or that initially more than one embie implanted.  I hope you see a great rise in your beta by Friday.  GL!
