What do you think of Emmett for a boy?

I think of Emmett Smith.

It reminds me of Emmett from the Twilight novels. But he isn't as popular as Bella or Jacob so I don't think everyone would get the association. I still think it's a nice name.

Love!! I didn't immediately think of Twilight. I actually think of Emmett "Doc" Brown first, but that might not be a better association either way, I love the name and think it's super masculine. I also love Everett and Evander

To me it sounds like a really strong, masculine underused name that is not too out there.  Good choice.

I like it and it will age well. I think it's a strong boys name. Cute for a young boy and great for an adult. Best of both worlds.

Sorry but I think of a fine looking man in great suit when I hear the name Emmett. I don't really think that's a bad thing.

Emmett Smith hit his glory days in the 90s and movie's won't be as popular in 5-10 years.

DS2 is Emmett James, so I obviously love the name.  Although I don't know anything about the Twilight association and picked the name years ago and its a family name on DH side.

Not sure who Emmett Smith is, but I do know Emmitt Smith the football player because we are Bears fans and he was very hated in our area when he passed Walter Payton's record for rushing yards.

I guess I'm the only person who thinks of Emmett Otter?  Oh well.  I'm not in love with the name, but my second cousin named her son Emmett and it's grown on me.
