Cloth Diapering

wipe solution

So we are going to do cloth wipes for all pee diapers and hands and face wipes. I am going to do a basic oil baby wash and water combo but won't baby oil affect the diapers when I wash the wipes with them?

Re: wipe solution

  • I'd think it would cause repelling... but I've never used it.  I only use water and it works fine.

I also use different cloths for face than for wipes...(actually I use my unpaper towels that you just asked about for face)

  • we just use water.  why not use them for poop?  your diapers get poop on them so why not the wipes?

I am not ready to not be able to throw the poop in the garbage. Weird right? Her poop is easily grabbable off the diaper so I take it with a wipe and throw it in the garbage. I don't know why I can't get myself to do wipes with poop. Maybe I'll get there. Might take a few practice runs, we'll see.

  • There isn't enough baby oil to cause issues. You should be just fine. If you're worried, use a cloth safe oil, buy or make wipes cubes. There are tons of recipes out there.
