I just barely watched about 10 minutes of Sisterwives, and that man gives me the heebies. He may possibly be the biggest douchemonster on reality tv.

Re: Kody Brown is creeptastic
My confession: that show used to be one of my guilty pleasures. I have absolutely no idea why. Thank God I haven't gotten into it this season haha.
Oh, I totally watched the first season and catch it here and there, too. I feel like it's an interesting look into a culture I wouldn't be able to see otherwise; however, I can't stand that man. I have a little more understanding why they decide to have sisterwives, but I don't necessarily agree.
I just watched the first two seasons, and I actually think he is a good dad. He is cheesy, and a little full of himself but I think he is a good guy.
He is only legally married to his first wife. I don't think he/they belong in jail. In this day and age there are so many non-traditional families: interracial, divorced, blended, gay/lesbian, grandparents raising grandkids... I guess as long as all members of the marriage are of age and willing "Que sera, sera."
I really don't think it is ours or the goverments job to judge people's personal lives as long as it doesn't impede the rights of others.
I agree. I didn't know much about the lifestyle before watching the show...just the typical stereotypes. After watching I just couldn't understand why anyone cared if they practiced polygamy not to mention being illegal. There are bigger fish.
I think a lot of those laws are to protect the underage girls being forced into marriage. I really need to watch this season, because I thought I heard one of the kids wanted out of the lifestyle. I see he's a nice father, but it seems the women do everything for him. Then again, I guess that's why you have several wives. The little bit I did see tonight, he said something to his first wife (and the only true wife) along the lines of, "I am going to have more kids, blah blah..." throwing it in her face that he can easily procreate with other women while she struggles with fertility. I do not like that at all.
Kody has asked Meri in the past if she wanted to do IVF to have more children and she declined. She said it just is not in the cards. As for the woman doing everything, I see that in a lot of single wife marriages too.
I'm just saying that if this lifestyle is what they want freely on their own then let them have it. They are all adults. I'm sure that there are young girls forced into many things in this country unfortunately not just by polygamists.
How can we say one type of relationship is ok to have in this country and another type is not? (when it is between adults)
