Cramping while nursing....pregnant?

Hi ladies!  I have been a long time lurker who finally has a question worth asking :).  I have ebf my son for the past 14 months and my period has not returned.  Last week I started having symptoms and really started to think I was pregnant!  I was having a lot of dull cramping, back aches, and headaches.  The symptoms have subsided a bit, but I still have cramping when I nurse my son.  I took a test this morning and got a bfn.  I will probably test again on Thursday.  Has anyone had any experiences like this?  Did AF eventually show up?  TIA for any help!

    It could just be that your period is getting ready to come back. I've been feeling the same way lately and I'm anxiously waiting for it to return so we can start trying again. With my first I know I had cramping on and off for a month or two before it finally came back.
