treat bags for preschool classmates

Am i horrible if i just fill little stockings or treat bags with candy?  for halloween treats i did playdough and pretzels, and brought ghost decorated cheesesticks for snack time.  This makes me feel like I was already the responsible parent once this year, and deserve to sugar the kids up at Christmas.  :) These are 4 and 5 year olds.  Kiddo's BFF has a peanut allergy, so it would be more candy candy than chocolate.  Candy canes, maybe some rolos, possibly pre-wrapped popcorn balls if i can find them.    If I do this I will bring some sort of responsible snack for the actual party.

  • I personally dont care if DS comes home with treat bags full of candy its not like he has one every day. Saying that though I know some parents would be mad. I did treat bags for halloween with a little candy. playdough and silly straws for halloween. For Christmas im going to the dollar tree buying 10 christmas coloring books and wrapping them up as treats. Cheap and easy.

  • Is this a class roster thing and you have to provide treat bags for holidays, or do you want to? We didn't do this at my school so I'm just curious.

I just want to.  about 1/2 of the parents do treat bags and snacks for the party day, and the others don't.  since there are two pre-k classes with about 16 kids total, it's still plenty with only 1/2 doing something.
