I'm starting this early because I have a GTKY question related to a show DH just made me watch. It's a conspiracy theory show with Jesse Ventura. They were just in my hometown neck of the woods and really said the Illuminati was planning to go underground there to avoid a world disaster. They even called the town of Ozark the "Ark of Oz" ... Seriously? They made big deals out of nothing!

DD is asleep and has been doing a ton better! I seriously have the baby I have birth to back. She's still up to eat every 2 hours at night.

GTKY: What conspiracy theory do you believe to be true?

I personally believe that aliens exist. I think it's selfish to believe we are the only beings in the entire universe.

Is the DaVinci Code a conspiracy theory? I'd love for someone to blow that sh!t wide open so I can laugh at all the people who raised me Catholic. Oh wait, Dan Brown already did. I still laughed. But seriously, it could be true. All religions have symbolism and what if the stories got translated wrong?

Definitely believe in aliens. As Carl Sagan put it in Contact: It would be an awful waste of space.

I'm up working, and Paula is squealing with absolute glee in her brand new jumperoo! She couldn't be happier. Last night I made the mistake of putting her to sleep at 11 and working for a while, and then she was up at 5 to eat after I had slept for maybe 10 minutes. She took a great nap tonight so she's awake now, but I'll probably try to get her to sleep after the next time she wants to eat.

I completely believe in aliens and ghosts. I've been very into paranormal stuff since I was a kid. The universe is simply too vast to be otherwise empty. And as for ghosts, I just cant wrap my head around there not being some sort of spiritual phenomena. Energy cannot be created or destroyed. Our energy has to do something.

I am up for Keith's MOTN feeding. Heis congested and he had projectile spit up last night. So I'm sure he is getting sick. And of course it's my first full week back to work. Guess I'll just add that to "reasons I feel guilty for working list".

Aliens could be true. My uncle worked destroying top secret military documents and he said you would be shocked if you knew the real story behind Roswell.

Early morning check in...pumping. I don't believe in aliens, ghosts, or any thing supernatural. My grandpa, however, who has a metal plate in his brain, will preach to you all day about the city of Atlantis. I love him, but don't even get him started...

FWIW, he was never like that before the plate. Something shifted in his brain and now he's all about conspiracy theories...I hope he hasn't seen this show you're talking about!

Woke up at 2ish to pump and feel back to sleep...it's almost 7 now and after I put my daughter on the bus I'll be pumping again.
I agree that I think there are aliens. There are far too many places our minds have yet to reach to say we are alone.

Have him avoid TruTV... They're actually pretty convincing about all of the conspiracy theories. If I wasn't from MO, I would have totally bought in to last night's episode!

I also believe there's a conspiracy within the Catholic Church and in ghosts. My sister and I saw the same ghost of our best friend on the same night in the same shirt within the same time frame. It was the night before the trial at which my brother was being charged with involuntary manslaughter for his death. My mom swears she heard footsteps upstairs in my brother's bedroom until after that night. I like to think he was telling us goodbye to give us closure and assure us out brother would be OK.

I believe in ghosts. I'm not sure if any of you have heard of North Brother Island, here is the wikipedia page if you're interested: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Brother_Island,_East_River ... but anyway, I am in the Coast Guard and used to be stationed in New York. One of our favorite things to do on duty would be to go to North Brother Island at night during high tide, tie up and explore around the island... there's a house where Typhoid Mary used to live, a hospital that was used as a quarantine, and a school house for all the sick kids way back when. The only way to get there is via small boat like the one we were in (and there is no "dock" or anyway to pull up easily due to the current), so the possibility of people being on the island are slim to none.

Long story short, one night when we got to the third floor of the hospital, every single door started to open and slam shut, over and over again, all at the same time. This was right after a guy that was getting ready to leave the station requested that he be "showed something" so he would know if the place was "real." I didn't believe in anything "super natural" before then. Yeeeah... it was interesting to say the least.

I agree.  I think it's silly for someone to think that with all of the hundreds of billions of galaxies out there, that we're the only living beings.
