LO has wide feet, regular width don't fit him (thanks to DH's genes). So far I've only found shoes at Payless, but they're all such clunky things. I'm looking for some soft-sole shoes besides Robeez. Any luck?
Do a search on the internet. We went to stride rite for DD1's walking shoes (she had WW), but we found some cute pink New Balance sneakers after she outgrew her walkers. I can't remember where DH found them but they couldn't have been that difficult because he isn't that savvy with online shopping. Take heart, she had really chunky feet, but now wears a normal size shoe at 2 1/2!!!
DS has worn xw width since his first pair of shoes and he's almost 4 now - everybody told me his feet would thin out when he started running - his body did but not the feet.
We started with stride rite, but too often they wouldn't have anything in his size at the store and sometimes not even online. So now I just buy New Balance from Amazon. I buy the next size up when his get a little snug. I've given up on ever finding dress shoes for him so I just buy a dark pair of the New Balance.
DD is 10 mo old and I just measured he feet last week... she'll be in an extra wide when we move on from robeez. I just "won" her first pair on ebay (stride rite).
Married June '03. DS born Jan '09. DD born Feb '12. No, we didn't choose to be childless for the first 6 years, only the first 3.
Re: wide width shoe search
