I've been seeing (what I suspect) this more and more across different bump boards. So when you click on something and it brings you to Amazon how can you tell if it's a referral link and if it is how can you disable it so the person doesn't get a percentage of the amount you spend on Amazon for the next however long. I can't stand that people are being shady like this!!

""No one else will ever know the strength of my love for you. After all, you're the only one who knows what my heart sounds like from the inside."
"On the night you were born, the moon smiled with such wonder that the stars peeked in to see you and the night wind whispered "Life will never be the same." Because there had never been anyone like you... ever in the world." ~ Nancy Tillman

Re: How to tell if it's an Amazon referral link?
I would guess it's just the people who are all "I love this and it's so awesome, you should get one too!" and the "this" is a link.
I know nothing about referral links though, I assume the women [I've done it once when Amazon had the Moby Wrap on their black friday deal and I know they're pretty popular] who just post a full on link probably aren't tech savvy to make money off posting a PSA.
When I post a link I tend to write out "CLICKY" and then link the word because sometimes those URL's are so massive but I don't do it to hide anything just to make the post a little cleaner. So I would assume that everyone who is posting a link like that is attempting to scam someone.
I've posted referral links before but I've always told people that is what it was. For example, when talking about Zulily or another site like that I've given my invite link but I've always posted if you need access here is my invite link.
