Won't take a bottle anymore

DS2 was always reluctant to take a bottle, but now he flat out refuses.  we have tried 5 different brands, cup, medicine dropper, but he screams for all of it.  I have had to reduce my hours at work and work only from home while my mom comes over to watch him.  So thankful to have a flexible employer!  I can't be away from him for more than 2-3 hours.

Not sure what the point of this post was, just to vent a little I guess.  I don't think we are going to try any other bottles since it makes him so mad.

  • out of curiosity have you tried having someone else give him a bottle while your out of the house? My friends LO would only take one if she was gone and whoever gave him the bottle had to hold it between their arm and side (kinda like a fake boob)

Good luck! I hope you can work things out!

Yes, I have always been out of the house for the bottle attempts, except once. They have tried multiple positions too.  He's just picky!

  • The only way ds takes one is if the milk is freshly pumped. He will not take frozen milk unless fresh is mixed with it. And so far, only one bottle works for him.

  • Dd fought the bottle at first. Daycare fed her when she was asleep, or on her playmat when she wasn't being held. She does fine with both those methods now.

It can be frustrating to be tied up like that. Hopefully things get easier for you!
