My husband and I are trying to decide whether we need a double stroller or not for when we have our second child. By the time this baby is born, our daughter will be 3. What do you ladies think? Do you still push your 3-year-olds around in a stroller?

Re: Do I need a double stroller?
Ha ha, this describes us perfectly! We've taken the umbrella stroller to the doctor's with #2 sitting in it while #1 walks with us and leave with #1 riding in it while DH is carrying #2! We have the Britax B-Ready with the second seat and I think it's great. #1 likes to ride in either seat and never complains about being in the bottom seat, which I've noticed people assume might happen. I also like that we had the option to place the infant seat adapter on the top or bottom seat.
I'm going to see if I can get by without one. DD will stay in daycare while I'm on maternity, so I don't see a huge need to have a double right now. On weekends if I need to take them both somewhere, I can wear baby & push DD, or DD can sit in the shopping cart. Or if MH (or my sister/MIL) is with me, we push 2 strollers.
However, I can also run out to BRU and pick up a double later if I really can't manage without one!
You will if you go anywhere like the mall, zoo, amusement park but not for errands. A sit n stand IMO works okay but a 3 year old still wont sit down and understand not to just get up and walk off and they often need a place to nap!
we have a side-by-side and an incline and I love both for different reasons but if I had to suggest one for a 3 year old and newborn it would be something that is a single which can convert to a double (we have city select). We used the car seat attachment, sometimes just a single, sometimes double, and we have a glider board so she can ride on the back for a quick trip as a single.
