Soothies question

So everyone raves about them but they are kinda pricey. They say "can last up to 72 hours". Does this mean 72 hours of wearing on and off or 72 hours from opening? They seem pricey so I want to make sure they are worth it.

Re: Soothies question

  • I took it to mean 72 hrs from opening. They are WELL WORTH IT!! They helped so much, along with correcting DS' shallow latch, that I only needed a couple of pairs. Put them in the fridge during nursings!

  • My interpretation is 72hrs from opening the package.  I got 2 pairs from the hospital and used the 1st pair for 3 days.  They really helped my somewhat sore/sensitive nipples!  FWIW, I never had to use the 2nd pair as by the end of the 72hrs, my nipples felt better and didn't need the soothies anymore.

  • I used the ameda soothing gel pads along with triple nipple cream.  It worked wonders. They can be used up to a week.

They didn't seem to do much for me. They would warm up too quickly after I put them on, I got like a minute of relief.

    This.
