Sweet Lord...
What happened to my very content, predictable babies!? I have been switched up with 2 certifiable pairs of fussy britches!
The twins will be 3 months old tomorrow and since they turned 12 weeks old last Monday, all bets are off in the eating, playing and sleeping departments. They're certainly not sleeping through the night anymore and they decided to move their bedtime up to around 7pm.
Problem is, they wake up, both of them, at 2am like clockwork. However, they do eat and go right back to sleep. I'm wondering if I'm feeding them enough during the day, 46 oz every 3hrs? Their naps are all over the place. The eat, play, sleep cycle aint cutting it anymore. Its like kinda eat, play, fuss, fuss, catnap for 15 mins, eat a little again.
You get the idea.
No one is happy, especially my DS James, who is my nighttime, naptime, repeat offender of waking! My DD Rosie, just lays there, looks over at him, offers her hand for him to chew on, while looking up smiling at me. Poor babies.
So, share your thoughts, suggestions and concerns. I'm all out of ideas today. DS up crying again as I'm finishing this post. Say a prayer for us. DH still out of town working Monday thru Friday.
TIA

Re: 3 Month Schedule
I feel your pain. We had the same issues with Elijah starting about two weeks ago. He's been STTN since he was two weeks old, but the time change messed him up a bit (to bed at 8 and up for the day at 5 rather than 10 & 7) and then he started waking at 2 & 5, and up for the day at 8. His longest naps have been 45 minutes if I'm lucky, he varies between only wanting 3oz or still acting hungry after 6oz, and forget wanting to be anywhere, including my arms, but in his RnP!
Since they are 3 months now, it's quite possible they've hit the 3 month growth spurt as well as the 12 week wonder week. Though it may seem they've gone backwards, so to speak, their brains and bodies are actually moving forward and developing significantly and that can/will take a toll on sleeping and overall moods. Try to keep the basic schedule you had in place, since it worked before and it'll probably work again once the growth spurt/wonder week is over; just make adjustments to it as need be for each of them to accommodate moods and needs.
Praying for you!
