Stretching out feedings? Possible?

Is it possible to stretch out feedings at all when EBFing? LO is 2 months old and during the day eats on average every 2 hrs after the last feeding started and sometimes feeds for 30 min. At night LO sleeps a lot and might eat once or twice before 7 am and goes to bed at 8:30. Just getting a bit exhausted from the constant eating during the day...I shouldn't complain, huh?

  • That constant eating during the day is what makes him sleep well at night. I'd just keep at it and find some new TV shows or a good book.

  • My 6mo still eats every 2 hours when I'm home or every 3 hours of EBM while I'm at work. He's also still up every 23 hours at night. At least his feedings only take 10 minutes now!
  • Not that this would stretch out the feedings but the baby whisper has some acronyms (EASY) (Eat, Activity, Sleep & You time)  that might help you.  My LO pretty much ate at that 2 hour schedule, but occasionally she would get a nap in there that would extend the time between nursing.

  • I have been wanting to know the same thing! My LOs eat pretty much every 2 or 2 and a half hours. Only they don't sleep so well at night, maybe 3 hours. I am exhausted and looking forward to sleeping. Hopefully sometime soon.
