XP first pp period

Mobile users:  First pp period

I'm sorry I know this has been posted tons but I can't remember whose had cs etc.

Were your cramps amped up compared to what they were pre-pregnancy? Did you pass big clots? How many days did it last?

I haven't gotten mine yet but I am a huge worry wart and I'll be the first to admit that.  I do have pp anxiety that came with tons of irrational fears (like when I get my pp period I'm going to hemmorage).

 Please don't flame.

Re: XP first pp period

  • I had the period out of the Zombie apocalypse. I bled so bad that I had to change a pad every 2 hours. However, no extra cramping and it only lasted 5 days.

  • Didn't get mine until about 10 months pp (BFing). It lasted the same number of days as before. Cramps weren't bad. It was a little heavier but nothing crazy.

  • 1 period at 6 weeks pp, after starting birth control pills.. then nothing until now at 14 weeks pp. Both were extremely heavy... like another posted said... bled through super plus tampons and pad after an hour or 2. 1st period lasted about 5 days, this one is on day 3.

  • As pretty much everyone has said it is going to vary for everyone. It might be more painful than before but this isn't uncommon. Your uterus is still trying to downsize and it will never be the same again. These cramps are not uncommon. There would be no reason for you to bleed out. If you have a lot of bleeding and are concerned keep track of how many pads you are bleeding through then let your doctor know. Being on the pill will also hopefully help limit the terrible cramps.
  • If you can take a little period humor, here is a fun article many of us could relate to.
