This has to be a post and run because I have to get to bed.
I was wondering what kind of crafty things everyone else was doing with their toddlers? I am hoping to come up with enough activities to keep her occupied during the day. We don't have many ornaments and Christmas decorations, so I was thinking that maybe we could start making some, but I am blanking on ideas. I was going to look on pinterest, but those are usually very intimidating.
Help, please!
Re: Toddler Christmas craft ideas?
We also did the hand print snowmen ornament . It didn't turn out as cute as the pinterest one, but it is still cute
My DD is 3 and loves PlayMais (and I love it too because it's pretty much mess-free WOOHOO!). It comes in all sorts of colours and you could easily use it to make Holiday-themed craft.
Finger painting is always a big hit (so long as you don't mind cleaning up after).
I am also planning on making the girls a felt tree to hang on the wall with felt ornaments to stick on it. I don't think I will get them involved in making the ornaments, though. That would require more advanced skills.
Kids love to stick/glue things. You could maybe cut out Christmas tree shapes out of green cardboard and have LO decorate them with whatever you have on hand (foam shapes, glitter, whatever). Then you could string them together to make a garland.

Thanks ladies! So far, we've printed out a few coloring pages and I'm working on cutting out snowflakes. She likes to decorate them. And I'm thinking about making a garland out of construction paper ornament shapes!
C will make crayon drawings, and he is painting bird houses and picture frames (cheap wooden ones from walmart).
Oh, and salt dough and crayon ornaments.
