google has too many answers

So I have tried to google this already but way too many different answers. What would cause my LOs poop to turn green? I have not changed anything about his diet.

Re: google has too many answers

  • Has he exhibited any signs of teething? Oftentimes teething poop can be green and kinda slimy.

  • EBF or FF? Not enough hindmilk can cause green poop, also, Tylenol made my older kids have green poop... I don't know if that is the same still though because Carson has of needed any so far..

  • We FF so hindmilk can't be the answer. In regards to teething, he has a few signs but no white spots on his gums yet.
  • If your LO has a cold or stuffy nose, or is about to get sick their poop can be green. You said you FF so im guessing its not an allergy.

Too much iron can do it, too.

  • DD is FF and her poop has been green since we switched to Nutramigen. I assume it's the iron.

  • Our kiddo had green poop this last week while she had a cold.  Our nanny was the first to change a green diaper and mentioned it to me.  I didn't know what it meant and she said that when her son (14 months) was sick, he always had green poo.  That made me feel like it was pretty normal.

As she's been less stuffy and seemingly feeling better, her poo has become a mix of green/normal and is now more or less normal.

Maybe your LO is getting a cold?
