We have not used the nipple shield once today!! I kind of gave up weaning off of it when I went back to work. Yesterday I couldn't find one and got her to latch on without it. So today I just put them away and here we are. Hoping it continues. I get another day off tomorrow because there is no school, so we will see!! Anyone else have success with nipple shield weaning?

That's great! We fully weaned 3 weeks ago at 11 weeks. We haven't used it since, but just a word of caution...be sure to apply nipple cream if you don't already. It took us a little while before we really got a good latch. My nipples paid the price. They are healing now, though, and I am finally BFing pain free. You are going to enjoy being nipple shieldfree. It makes nursing much easier!

I will! I can already tell my nipples are hurting more. It reminds me of why I started using the nipple shield in the first place! I stopped using the cream a long time ago, so I'm sure if I start using it again it will be much better.
