Watching "generations" of TTCALers pass me by

When I first came here, I heard the oldies talk about being passed by newbies. I never realized how quickly it happens.

Most of the girls I moved over with have graduated. The group that followed is mostly moved on as well. It's only been 6 months and I am looking at my 3rd generation of TTCALers.

No offense to the new girls and yes, I know there are still familiar faces around with me, but I don't recognize alot of the names on the board all of sudden. Both sad and frustrating at the same time.

I'm not sure what the point of this post is, reality sinking in maybe.

I've had some similar thoughts lately. I have only been here 3 months and there have been a bunch of people pass me by already. I only have a little taste of how it must feel for those of you who have been here for longer. So sorry rlajambe ((hugs))

{{hugs}} It can be difficult to see others pass you by and to keep the hope alive. A majority of the ladies who arrived at the Loss board around the same time I did are either pregnant or have recently welcomed their rainbows.

Big bear hugs coming at ya. I have only been on this board for a few months, but I used to post on TTGP years ago (under a different sn), and am starting to get lapped by some of the girls I made friends with there. Yes, we want people to move on, but I wish they would take us with them.

As a n00b, I really haven't experienced this yet. I think about you and the other ladies who have been here for an extremely more than fair share of time, a lot. I think every single one of you are inspirational and sometimes I really don't know how you continue to offer the great support and advice that you do, especially to the newbies.

(((HUGS))). this is the first time I have been part of a non-IF board and it has taken some getting used to seeing ladies get bfp without major medical intervention.

it took some getting used to.

as one of the "Newbies", it has been nice to "meet" you and i appreciate your support and experience.

The only thing I can think of is when I was on the loss board, when Boots (who came after I did of that board) had the guts to post her intro, I followed her lead. Maybe it's a domino effect.

I've been lapped. This time last year, I was pregnant. I miscarried for the first time in December 2011 (and the second loss was in March 2012).

I participated in a sock exchange shortly after I got to the TTCAL board and the woman who I sent "lucky socks" to gave birth to a beautiful little girl last month. I am very happy for everyone who graduates, but I was especially happy for this one because she was a giving supportive oldie. There was definitely a hole when she graduated.

I agree that it is amazing that the oldies are still here to give support. Even though it has been almost a year since my first loss, I have not earned the badge of "oldie" because I have not had the strength to consistently post as I watch so many people graduate and new fresh loss mamas join our club.

I mostly lurk on here. Recently I went to pgal and saw a lot of names I recognized. Gives me hope, especially on negative days like today, but waiting our turn can be so frustrating.

I'm finding it really hard lately to see ladies who joined TTCAL after me intro onto PgAL with their second. It stings.

same story here. I'm really happy for all the people who get to move to pgal, but one does quickly start to feel left behind, and I can only imagine it gets harder. ::::Hugs:::

I totally understand. I've been here since January, with one month off when I had my pg that resulted in an ectopic. I feel like everyone is leaving me, as much as I'm happy that people have moved over to PgAL, it still sucks. Honestly, I don't really post all that often anymore because I just don't feel comfortable anymore. I don't know about moving over to 6+ because I don't know if I fit in there since we were TTA for a couple months.

Huge hugs to you. I'm so sorry. I've been here since July and this is our 5th cycle TTCAL and I'm surprised how many people have passed me by once and sometimes even twice since I've been here. It's really difficult. I, too don't recognize a lot of the newbies, but more of the women on PgAL.

Why does it have to be so difficult to get pg and have a healthy baby? Life just doesn't make sense sometimes. Sad

I'm a bit late to the game, bit I'm just reading this now. I was on vacation for a week and coming back to the board had been really hard and I couldn't bring myself to post anything all weekend. I was only gone for a week and I can't believe how much has changed! There are so many newbies and more graduates as weel and while I'm happy for them, I'm not going to lie, I wish I were moving on too, but I'm stuck here.It sucks. ((HUGS))
