That has a baby that just refuses to nap. Sometimes we will get a ten or fifteen minute nap a few times a day but that's it. I'm about to lose my mind today. I have tried everything and nothing works.
You don't need to worry about consistent naps before four months. Even then it's just the morning nap that presents itself first. Babies before then are still on a one to two hours wakefulness schedule. Get the sleep where you can out of LO and try not to stress too much about it.
Just last week Howell started consistently napping at 8:15 or 8:30. He usually has two more naps after that but they aren't in a schedule and sometimes he still does several crappy 20 minute snaps.
It's not a schedule I am worried about its more I am worried that he isn't getting the rest he needs. I just see so many moms talking about their LOs napping often and for hours at a time that worries me that Holden does not.
B only naps half an hour at a time. It sucks and I was getting soooo frustrated over it cause I remember Ds1 napping so well. Now I've just accepted it and I'm not that anxious anymore. It is what it is.
Me! Ds will be 4 months on friday and I can see his morning nap starting but he is a horrible napper! He refuses to nap in his crib which makes it very frustrating. Last week he did take two four hour naps on our bed. Maybe he will nap in his crib one of these days.
Today was a cranky day for Jacqueline and she didn't want to sleep for very long. It really depends on when she wakes up in the morning, but last night she was down around 7pm and she woke up to eat at about 9ish, down again at 10 and slept 5:45 where she woke up to eat 4oz and then right back to sleep unil 10 (she was back in her crib and I was back in bed around 6:20) She napped for almost 2 hours around lunch time and then only had 20 minute cat naps after that...
It's frusterating on the days when she doesn't have solid naps because she gets so cranky, but I just snuggle her and do my best to keep her content.
Re: Am I the only one...
Same page. But recently I've been getting a 30 minute nap out of her after I put on Christmas music and let her dance in her jumperoo for a while.
Taking a long walk outside also works occasionally.
Or Dr. Seuss. She likes the rhythm.
Things to try, but most days one ten minute nap is all I get.

This. Every day is so different. But he usually doesn't sleep too much.
