Long story short, my DS had a posterior tongue tie that was not diagnosed and fixed until he was 5.5 weeks old. He was not nursing properly and not draining my breasts when he ate, and unfortunately my supply regulated itself during that time and it is way too low.
I am only getting 2 oz of milk from pumping every 2 hours DS gets about 2.5 to 3 oz based on weighed feedings. I am supplementing with formula and DS is eating an additional 2 to 4 oz during the day. He is currently making up for lost time because he wasn't getting enough food in his first few weeks of life, but I can not keep up with him at the moment.
I am doing the following to try and increase my supply:
...taking 4 fenugreek pills, 3x daily
...drinking at least 3 cups of mothers milk tea daily
... Pumping after every night time feeding for at least 15 to 20 mins
... Pumping 2 extra sessions during the day while DS naps
What else can or should I be doing? It has been a week and I am seeing zero improvement. I am so frustrated
