Is anyone putting up a real tree this year considering their new LO in the house? I'm reconsidering ours because all I can think about is spiders crawling on him!
We are planning in going out and cutting one down Christmas vacation style!! I love reall trees and neither DH or I have ever had an artificial tree so we aren't starting now.
We always had a real tree growing up so I will never have another real tree again. My fake one looks fabulous! Actually, I have three fake trees I put up every year, and two of them are awesome, one is just meh...
I hated crawling under the tree to water it and also finding needles in my feet for weeks after it was taken down...
We bought a fake tree the year we got married because we wanted to share our first tree with our LO and be able to always have that first tree. I just hope there aren't spiders in the attic...
I was planning on getting a good fake tree this year since last year we had a mini table one. Then my SO was horrified I didn't want to get a real tree. He has been trying to convince me ever since. And it's working....

DH and I started doing this when we got married. We just went to the tree farm on Thanksgiving Friday to cut ours down. It is BEAUTIFUL! DD and DS1 absolutely loved going to pick out and cut down the tree! It's such a wonderful tradition we've started with them

We always have a real tree. I love the smell and cutting it down and even the pine needle mess. We always tag our tree with my family Thanksgiving weekend. We will go back to cut it in two weeks.
We even had a real tree in our tiny apartment. We cut a tree that was so short we put it in a garbage bag in the back seat to get it home.
I have crazy allergies so we have a fake tree. It's already up (I put Henry in the K'tan so we could decorate it together) and I am a happy mom! I LOOOOOOVE Christmas :O)

This! I love the smell of real trees. It is part of the season for me!
Since I still live with my mom.. I don't really count but
My mom has always gotten a real tree, yeah, its more work and its a PITA, but, My family is huge alone, we have been going to the same tree farm for our trees since I was a baby, we also go to the same diner every year, it has become a part of me to go there and get a tree, and I would like DD to experience it too
Real tree this year, spiders and all, lol! After becoming acquainted with the flying tree roach last week, a few little spiders aren't going to scare me! We went to a farm to cut one down and holy hell the trees here in TX are expensive! I don't think I've ever paid more than 60...this tree was 140! The cheapest one I saw at the farm was 80!
We have 2 real ones every year. We have a fancy one in the foyer that is white and gold only and our family tree in the living room with colored lights a fun ornaments.
We cut them both with our whole family, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, kids etc. after a big family breakfast at moms the day after Thanksgiving. Then every single person is required to take a cut on the family tree, my parents tree, before we all split up to cut our own. Then we go back to my parents to help them set theirs up and have a big lunch together! My favorite family tradition!

Not completely sure where you're at (H-town area I think...), but we always go to Spring Creek growers up near Tomball. Their trees start at $35 and go up to $160, but ours have always been around $50-$60 from them. They have both pre-cut and planted/cut-your-own on site with lots of family/kid-friendly activities and free apple cider. Yum!

We'll be getting a real tree in a few weeks. We've never had a problem with spiders before......
