SFM: If you've seen a GI...
What was done at your first appointment? DS has his Monday and I really just have no idea what to expect. He has been on reflux meds since about 4 weeks old, so this is just the next step on trying to figure out what the heck is going on.
XPed on 3-6months because I'm not sure how many August mamas have actually had a trip to the GI...kiki?

Re: If you've seen a GI...
I thought that too, lol
I have been to a GI. They are going to ask you a series of questions and tests lo's poop to see if there is blood in it or not. If there is blood it could indicate that lo is sensitive to what he is eating.
I have had a HELL of a ride with silent reflux. I have changed formulas to everything under the sun including prescription based as well as left him sitting up, bought a incline for the crib. Bought nuk bottles and nipples to putting him on zantac.
Before going with the medication I tried gripe water, colic calm and burning lavendar which an island woman told me would work. Nothing did the trick to where I went with Zantac. I tried cereal and it gave lo gas. Then tried oatmeal and same thing. How long did you give Zantac a try and what was your dosage? It didn't work right away for us and it ended up being that he was gaining weight so fast that we never gave it a good amount of time to work. Lo is 16lbs and he is on 1.5ml 2x a day.
I am by no means an expert but everyone kept brushing it off and saying "Oh, he's just colic".... BULLSHIT! This baby cried, morning...noon.... and night non stop. I feel and know your pain honestly!
Best of luck and don't take a push off if the doctor continues to say "Oh keep doing cereal" .... Go in there stating that I have tried this, that and etc. Doctors are all going by a guess and check method with reflux.
Good luck sweets! I hope Lo gets better soon.
