Does anyone have a LO with asthma? They just diagnosed DS today on top of all his food allergies! Ack. I know it's relatively common but I am bummed/stressed.
I'm sorry you and LO have to go through this. My DD does not have asthma, but I do. I was diagnosed at a young age as well, but I never had any allergies. I seemed to have grown out of it for a while, but for some reason, I have had issues with my breathing the last two years. I'm not sure if pregnancy messed with my body or what... I digress, I can tell you it is scary but very manageble. Most definitely keep LO away from any type of smoke. Does he have to use a nebulizer or just take other meds?

Ds1 has asthma, he was diagnosed at like 6 months. He had some bad allergies mixed with colds. Everytime that he caught a cold his asthma would act up. He was given a puffer and we kept it under control. Then it lightened up and now at six years old he uses a puffer maybe two weeks out of the yearduring allergy season
I do not have any advice for you but I did want to say that I hope your LO grows out of it. That would be a major bummer to deal with and I wish you all the very best.
I'm sorry your son as asthma! E doesn't have asthma but I always panic because I have it so bad. I also have a lot of food and environmental allergies. Most of my food allergies I have grown out of but unfortunately I never grew out of my asthma. It is very manageable but when I get sick it goes down quickly. I hope your Lo grows out of it.
Gavin has asthma, and it stresses me out. He is wheezy and congested a lot. We manage with meds and environmental changes we can make. I'm hoping he grows out of it and it doesn't get more serious. GL to you.
