Boycotting Sleep

Apparently 4am is the new 7am. DD has been up at 4:08 for the last 2 days, and refuses to go back to sleep. I laid in the spare bed with her from 4 to 6:30am attempting to get her to sleep, she might have dozed 45 minutes total during that time, but every time I made a move to put her back in bed she'd go back to squirming around. Countless times I was headbutted, poked, hair pulled, kicked, climbed on, stepped on, hit, nose grabbed, etc.  The headbutt was the worst, she nearly gave me a nosebleed. Finally I got up with her at 6:30 and handed her off to DH, who was supposed to be getting ready for work, and went back to bed for the half hour before he had to leave. Come 8:30 she still hadn't slept, I called my MIL and asked the grandparents to come kidnap the granddaughter so I could at least shower and clean the house in peace. She of course took an hour nap for them. Nice. She's normally a pretty good sleeper, but since we left Wednesday to go to my dad's for Thanksgiving her sleep pattern is way off.

ugh, that's rough.  I hope today was better and it was just a fluke thing.
