I'm trying to come up with a list of things I need for Baby #2 and wondered what I might need to replace as far as breast pump parts. I have an Ameda if that makes any difference. I was just a supplemental pumper so I don't think anything is really worn out, but wasn't sure if just sterilizing was ok or if I need to replace parts to make it sanitary for the new baby. Anyone know anything about this?
Re: STM's What pump parts need replacing?
No milk gets in the tubing of an Ameda, but if it's been a while since you used your pump a new set might be called for just because of the plastic breaking down. I would replace the valves and diaphrams. You can just sterilze the flanges and bottles.
