Im hearing initials don't matter, but I think they do! Our favorite baby name would give her the initials H.O. It's also my initials since marriage, doesn't bother me but I didn't go thru middle school with them. Deal breaker?
That's completely fine.
My initials are NES, and have always been compared to a Nintendo Entertainment System..but only by my gamer friends way back when!
Haha my first and middle name make BS, and my first and last name make BJ. Before I got married, my initials were BM. Nobody ever mentioned anything to me about them when I was younger. Now it's easy just to laugh about it.
I am very much into initials because I had a lot of things monogrammed with DD. Also, my BILs initials spell JEW. It was very interesting when he started getting graduation gifts.
It would depend how much I loved the name I think. If it was 100 percent the only name I loved I would go with it, but if there were other names I could use I would probably go with a different name.
It definitely wouldn't deter me. I went to school (elementary through highschool) with a family that had Ho as a last name and I can't remember anyone making a big deal out of it. Initials would be even more of a stretch. When do you even use initials?
Married - July 2010, DD - April 2011, #2 EDD August 10, 2013
It shouldn't be too bad. I know a girl that's initials are PMS I don't recall her getting to much grief for it. If you really love the name go for it. It really depends on the person. Some people like have initials that spell things some aren't so fond of it. I think I would just make a habit of using all three initials.
Better then B.O. Wouldn't be a dealbreaker for me.
Haha, our last name starts with O as well, and if we go with our current top names, our kids will be BO, RO, LO, IO, OO. I would not hesitate to use any of them based on the initials. HO would not stop me either, in fact a few lines down we have an H name for a potential girl and I'd still use it.
The question is, will it bother you? I think kids will always find something to be mean about - you can't remove every single potential obstacle. But if you don't love the name enough to deal with the initials, then change it.
It's a deal breaker for me. Even though I LOVE some E names, we nixed all
E names for our baby girl because our last name begins with a Z. I just couldn't give her the initials E.Z.

Can I just say that I love the picture in your siggy?
BFP 11/09 - DD 7/10 - BFP 8/11 - M/C 9/11 - BFP 6/12 - DD - 2/13
Well considering it seriously took me like a minute and a half to figure out what was bad about Ho I'd say it wouldn't really bother me.
Then again if this LO is a girl her initials will likely be GAG.
