Nighttime latch

Ds2 has a crappy latch. He was tongue tied and got the frenulum clipped so he's better. But he's a lazy latcher. I have to fix it several times to get it comfortable for me only to have him pop off after a few minutes then find it again with his crappy latch. Frustrating, but we're working on it.

We bed share. I hate it, but it's the only way I get any sleep at all. I get up at 5am for work so it's not like I can nap during the day. Anyway, we do side lying or with him on my tummy. The latch issue is way worse because I can't see to assure that he's opening his mouth wide enough. Half the time I can't even find his mouth. Turning on a light or going into another room defeats the purpose of bed sharing. Last night I ended up half reclining for awhile because if he'd latch at all, he'd pop off once I laid back down.

Does anyone have any tips for this? It's annoying but acceptable if I don't work in the morning. But won't work at all otherwise. TIA.

I did not think of a nightlight. Good idea!

I don't mind if he falls asleep on me or next to me. I like it. During the day!
