What could it be?

So I'm having nipple pain and sharp stabbing pain in my boobs after feelings. Also the end of my nipples is white after feeding but then it goes away. My dr doesn't see any signs of thrush other than the pain and lo has no signs. They gave me nystatin and another cream but 3 days later no improvement. Ive been on apno cream for 2 weeks before that. Do you think it take longer than that to see results or something else? What else can I do for relief?

That's exactly what it is. We went though a period of that. It was horrible! Make sure you are getting a perfect latch. I went in and had a trouble shooting session with the LC and she got me lined out. The latch wasn't causing visible damage, but she was causing those.

I went to an lc and she said his latch is good and she thought I had thrush. Perhaps she is not experienced with vasopasms? I don't know.

What you're describing it textbook vasospasms. "Thrush" is just an easy guess. I'd see a new LC.

Agreed. It's blanching. My latch seemed good, but it wasn't perfect, and LO was chomping down too to deal with fast letdowns. I would look for another LC.
