PS3 games for 3-year-old???

Thinking of getting DS a few toddler-friendly PS3 games.  He is a master of the iPad.... how hard is it for a 3 year old to learn the PS3 controller?  Am I setting him up for frustration?  I definitely do NOT want my little guy to get upset...

    My son has been playing for at least 6 months (he's 3 as well)...sounds bad I know but its one of DH's hobbies so I don't put up a huge fight though I'd rather him not play this young.

    They play Gran Turismo racing and Skyrim (just the dragon slaying part)
