Bleeding

Since our loss my husband and I have been TTC... Basically, long story short, I had my MC and stopped bleeding for a week or two but since then I've been spotting or full on bleeding-- sometimes brown, red or pink-- has anyone else experienced this and become pregnant while having these symptoms? I'm so worried that I won't ovulate as long as I continue to bleed or spot... Sex does increase the bleeding and spotting but we're still trying (every other day or two).. Any advice is welcome! Thanks.

Sorry for your loss.

My Dr. recommended we wait two cycles before TTC. I did bleed on and off for a good 3 weeks after my miscarriage. If you are concerned you should contact your Dr.

I understand that most women here are still TTC but I also know some women on here have had children after a miscarriage and I suppose my question is for those women..sorry for the confusion!

I'm sorry for your loss... I know that it can be super confusing... How long were you bleeding after the mc (before it stopped for the week or so?) Was it a natural mc or did you have a D&C? Are you charting?

It was a natural mc and I bled for about five days then had two days of heavy bleeding and large clots then a day or two of light bleeding. We're not charting because I'm not sure that I want to have the stress of charting and trying so hard to do it perfectly (that's my own rational I've come up with--I think I'm just scared that if I know I'm ovulating and we don't get pregnant that it will be more devastating) we got pregnant on our first try with the help of charting my temperature and ovulation tests.

Why wouldn't you go to your doctor? Did they check to make sure everything was out? According to your ticker its been over two months. You need to make sure you're healthy and fully recovered before you can TTC again. If it was me, I would schedule an appt to make sure everything is ok.

I agree. If it has in fact been two months since your loss and you are still bleeding I would be concerned. Did your doctor follow your hog levels below 5? I know not all doctors do but if you are still bleeding I'd be concerned that not everything is out. I would recommend calling your doctor to follow up.

I wasn't even bleeding anymore and yet had retained tissue and needed a D&C 3 weeks after my loss.

I'd give your doc a call to make sure everything is ok.

Thanks for your advice ladies. I did see my doctor a week after the MC and he gave me a clean bill of health to start trying again after he ran some tests. However since the bleeding has been so random a week or so after that and you're all suggesting I talk to him I think I'll be making that phone call tomorrow. I'll keep you posted!
