Hello ladies, it's been a while since I had chance to get on The Bump, but got a day off.
So I had a miscarriage in August and had my first period last month on the 9th Oct. It seemed heavy but still okay. But this month I've not come on yet, nor noticed any of the usual signs of coming on. I tested and I'm not pregnant. I know my body will be playing catch up, but I just hoped people could perhaps tell me how normal this is? And when I might expect to be back to normal?
Thanks in advance!
Re: Irregular periods after miscarriage
I'm really no expert but i think it can take 2-3 cycles to get back to "normal". Having said that, I've heard that many women never get back to their old cycle and develop a new normal.
I'm sure some of the other ladies on the board will have more insight into this as they are more knowledgeable than me.
Ah okay, thanks for the input
I had a miscarriage earlier this year and I can't remember too well but I do think my periods went back to their normal cycle near enough right away. But I suppose they're all different, aren't they? This one was more painful and complicated, so perhaps it's just gonna take a while longer!
