Ok Ladies I need your help!
I've been BF for 10 months. I have been pumping once in the morning and 2x at work so i can send bottles to daycare.
DS started dropping his 3rd bottle at school so i figured i can drop one pump at work. And i am sooo burned out from pumping.
Anyway, worried i will dry up if i only BF 2x a day and pump 2x. But maybe it doesn't matter?
Pls remind me why BF is important and i should keep going...
My 1 reason maybe my only reason is the peace that washes over my baby when I BF him before bed. It's like he waited all day for it.
Ok help me keep going!!
Re: Need pep talk
If your LO isn't eating at the time you normally pump, then you should be able to drop that pumping session without any adverse affects.
As for the pep talk, tonight my 9 month old was being completely uncharacteristically fussy and irritated and I couldn't do anything to make her happy, so, even though it was about 45 minutes before her usual bedtime, I offered her a chance to nurse to see if it would calm her down. She ate for awhile, visibly calmed down, and then just started "patting" me while still latched on. After a few minutes of that, she de-latched and fell asleep on me--which she hasn't done in MONTHS! So, completely, unbelievably sweet. Love these moments!
