How many workhorses?

So, my LOs are about to grow out of their NB GMD workhorses so its time to get more.  They are the heart of our stash right now and I lurv them.  I have 24 NBs which has worked well, and will be getting 24 smalls.  I'd like to go ahead ad and get some mediums and larges now too since the white cotton 6 packs are on sale, but I'm not sure how many to get.  They will go through fewer diapers per day when they're older, right? Or am I making that up?  Also, not sure if I'll want to transition to more pockets/aios and just have the WHs for ON, or what. Oh, and how long do you figure the old 6 packs will be available?  I don't want to wait and miss out.

Obviously i just have to deide what i think i'll want, but any help or questions to ask myself to help me tnink it through would be appreciated!  I'm seriously stressing way to much about this and need to decide already b/c they'll be out of the NBs any day!

I'm not much help, but your LOs will most likely need less diapers as they get older, but not by much. I still change my almost 2 year old every 3 hours or so. She doesn't get changed at night any more though. Do you like the WH more then pockets/aios? If you like the WH more and can afford them right now, I would get them. 

I have a question for you...I want to get some WH for this next LO but not sure how many of each size to get. DD was 8lbs 5oz, so I'm guessing this LO will be around the same. How big are your LOs now that they are growing out of the newborn WH? Do you think I should get small or newborn? I have OS pockets for DD right now, and hope that she will be potty trained by the time baby gets here so s/he can use them. I just need some diapers for the newborn stage (I didn't start CDing DD until she was 4 months). 

Another question...do you think I could get away with the smalls if I bought the ones without snaps and used a snappi?

I would get smalls. Also DH and I prefer the snapless to get the best fit.

Yeah,I bet you could get away with smalls if you get snapless.  We  don't have a scale in the house and so its been a while since thy've been weighed, but i'd say DS is about 9 lbs now.

I think DD was about 1011 lbs when we started using the WHs, but I think they would've been ok from birth [DD was 8lb15oz]. I just didn't have them.
