Here is an interesting article about babies and the way their hips develop.  It is something that had crossed my mind briefly when DD was a newborn and I think it is a normal concern.  I came across this information when researching carriers, and I think it applies to cloth diapers too!

My DS was in a Pavlic harness for dysplasia 4wks. We were told no swaddling of the legs either. That sucked! He wore brace for 6 wks and he is fine now. Made it difficult to bf tho! Btw..DS was breech and thats why he had the issue

Thanks so much for the information.  I also had been concerned about the hip thing when DS was a newborn - this helps a lot!
