Update: All of our illnesses

So, Paige did have another UTI.  Apparently it was a bacteria that was not sensitive to the previous antibiotic.  Our pedi put her on a new antibiotic and we have to go talk to the pediatric urologist about what we should do at this point.  She got this UTI while she was on two antibiotics (one to prevent UTIs and one for her ear infection).  I'm a little nervous of what this might mean for her - hopefully not surgery.

Then, this morning, she woke up with pink eye.  I tried to keep her and Brynn apart, but apparently didn't do a very good job.  So, she is now on 3 meds again - antibiotic, eyedrops and yeast cream.  We were supposed to leave for my parent's house today, but I'm nervous for her to be around my 1.5 year old nephew.  We will go tomorrow after she has been on the meds for 24 hours.  I'm sad to miss out on time with my sister and her family.

I feel like we live at the doctors lately!  She has been 4 times in about 2.5 weeks (once for her 9 month well visit).

What antibiotics was she on Cs? I'm wondering if they may want to fix the reflux surgically now. I pray y'all all get and stay well soon.

Karlee - she was on cephaxelin (sp?) for the kidneys and amoxicillan for the ears.  Now she is on sulfamethoxazole for the kidneys (plus eye drops for the pink eye!).  I'm curious what the pediatric urologist will say when he sees all of this.

Ok her new med is the same as laney's, bactrim is the brand name. Laney was on the other till she turned 6 months. I hope the new one works better. Was their original plan to wait until she was 1 and re evaluate?

The urologist originally wanted us to wait 6 months from her VCUG, which would put us in January.  He was then going to send us for another u/s and VCUG.  Not sure what the plan will be now.  Hopefully, I can get in touch with him next week.
