Hi! MN help, please.

Hi all and happy almost turkey day!

Haven't posted here since I was looking for help naming our first son so hope everyone is well!! 

Can you help me with a MN for our second son? His first name will be Grant and we would like to use a family name for his MN. Here are our family name options so far.

If it helps, our first son's name is Beau Michael.

    I think with Grant being such a short name, it would be nice to have a longer middle name, so I chose Theodore.

    I voted for Grant Theodore but I also love Grant Alexander!

    Thank you! I like the sound of Grant Theodore too but I have two issues. 

    1. Grant Ted - like granted

    2. It's very presidential. Which may not be a bad thing but how often do you name a kid a combo of president's first and last names??

    Also, I'd really love to do Daniel because it's my brother's name but something sounds weird when you say it. Is it just because both names are too short? Or is it something else?

    I don't think anyone would think to make a nickname from a middle name like that... and if they did that would just be very very VERY strange so I would not worry about it.

    Grant Daniel just doesn't really flow too well, maybe because they both have the same 'an' sound? I'm not sure.

    My brother is Grant, his mn is Carlton!  My friend's DS is Grant, his mn is Montgomery! 

    I like Xavier and Theodore but I voted for Xavier.  Do not like Daniel, sounds weird.

    Thanks for all the feedback, girls!!! I really appreciate it. Shortening a middle name would be super weird and I wouldn't have thought about it if my mom hadn't mentioned it. She's silly, though. 

    Also, PP, I think you hit the nail on the head with the "an" issue. I think that's why grant daniel sounds weird. Thanks!
