my breasts are not hard anymore

My breasts don't feel hard in the morning anymore.  They used to be so full in the morning and now they still feel soft. Is this a sign of my supply decreasing or is my body just figuring out that it doesn't need as much overnight anymore?  I thought they would still feel heavy in the morning.

Re: my breasts are not hard anymore

  • At around 12 weeks I stopped feeling super engorged when I woke up in the morning. They are still pretty full, but nothing like they were. I think its normal, its just your body figuring it out!

  • Ditto PPs. I've just started experiencing this myself - but I pump at work and haven't noticed a huge drop in supply. I'm still not ready to give up the nursing pads though, haha.
  •  It's very normal.  At 13 months in, my breasts are *always* soft and mushy. I kinds of miss those lumpy marble days when it felt like I was overflowing.
