XP: Trigger Question

Hi! I post on TTGP and sometimes lurk here. I was hoping I might get more responses over here...

 Is it possible not to O within the 36 hrs they typically say do after a trigger? I am probably over thinking it, but I had no EWCM until today, triggered Friday so I assumed I should have already O'd. I am on my last day of estradiol, taking it twice a day. Am I worrying about something that probably can't happen?

I asked my RE about this once a few months ago. He told me that you always O with a trigger shot if you have follicles to release. I guess part of that would depend on if you were given the right dosage though. If you have a higher than average BMI then you'd need a higher dose. I never get EWCM during ovulation. I know estradiol can affect your CM too. I'd say you're still safe. FX this is the cycle for you!

I actually just posted about this.  I've never had CM that i notice during medicated cycles (which has always included a trigger shot).  However, when i have gone in for my IUI, my nurse has said there is CM in there, but i have never noticed it discharge like some women do.

I have actually wondered about this, too.  I triggered last Sunday (IUI Monday) and have not really noticed any CM (as PP have said though, does't mean its not there).  My previous IUI was the same at furst, then I noticed a TON of CM more than 48 hrs after trigger, which was confusing.  

I guess I don't have any help for you, except to say, great question and I wonder the same thing! lol

DH and I were talking about trigger and confirmed ovulation this morning. He asked me how I knew that the trigger shot actually caused me to ovulate last time. I told him that I thought I had read somewhere that with ovidrel there is a very low chance of not ovulating after the injection as long as there is at least one mature follicle. Also, I think some on here go in for post-IUI bloodwork (7 dpo?) or ultrasound to confirm and check progesterone levels. My RE didn't check my levels and put me on progesterone last cycle. I didn't notice much if any CM last cycle, but during the IUI the doctor said she was wiping some from my cervix. 

 

This is good to know. I am going in for 7DPO b/w, but by then it will be too late to really do anything about it. I guess I will know for next time if it doesn't work!
