Well, it happened. Cameron Jacob was born via emergency c section at 1:27am 11/16. After I last bumped he had some hard times (as well as a bulging bag visible during a pelvix exam) being monitored in antepartum and Monday night/Tuesday morning I was sent to l&d for around the clock monitoring and magnesium/fluids and strict bed rest. After being stable, Thursday I was taken off of everything in the IV after receiving another round of steroids getting back my bathroom privileges and noticed bleeding. By 8 that night I was more than spotting. The doctors did an ultrasound and saw CJ had his foot in the birth canal and was hoping he'd pull back. So in anticipation of my bag of water being broken I was put back on strict bed rest with the IV going. At 10 I started having terrible contractions and we figured it was because I had to go to the bathroom so they started to redo the catheter and they got worse. By the time the nurse finished I felt gushes. My water hadn't broken, but I was bleeding. All the doctors rushed back in and checked me, I was completely dilated, bags still in tact but gushing lots of blood. That's when they all rushed me back. At 1:57am he was born and they say he cried. Baby boy is doing well and I am adjusting. My recovery is a bit rough from the nearly 3 weeks of bedrest and almost week of magnesium. Congrats and Hugs to you!  You did a marvelous job keeping in him that long.  Sending prayers that God keeps him safe, he grows big and strong, and can be home to you as soon as possible.

Welcome baby Cameron! Take good care of yourself. Magnesium is rough and you've been through so much keeping your lo baking as long as possible.  DD was born at 27 weeks exactly and was IUGR weighing 1lb 11oz.  She's now almost 5 months, 7 weeks adjusted, and is 11 lbs and perfect.  Lots of good thoughts for you and your family.

Congratulations on your baby boy!  I had a very very similar birth story.  I hope that Cameron continues to do well.  Keep your head up and take things one day at a time.

Thanks ladies! I've been reading posts and the blog and I am thankful to have spoken with some of you a few weeks ago. Although the NICU is scary, I am more prepared thanks to you all.
