tartar on bottom teeth?

I have noticed what I think is tartar on J's bottom teeth, right along his gumline and somewhat between them. We brush his teeth regularly (as well as he cooperates) and have told DC to only give water or milk, no more juice. Anyone else notice this?

I am calling a dentist about it but just curious if y'all have any experience with it.

No experience here, but I'm surprised to hear about that, especially after you brush his teeth.  We brush C's teeth after every meal while he's still in his high chair with one of those finger brushes and a shot glass full of water.  I also sing a song while I do it, I think that's why he lets me do it.
