Poor A was up for two hours crying last night. Even rocking him wouldn't get him to sleep. It has to be his teeth because he is jamming his hand in his mouth constantly. I tried giving him Advil when he woke up at 2 am but it still took two hours to get him settled. This poor kid has gotten four teeth since Halloween and he has a bunch of swollen gums so I think another 4 or 5 are coming. I wish there was something more I could do for him. He is also getting over a cold. I thought maybe it was turning to an ear infection but his ears look fine. Poor kid- these teeth are terrible.

Re: I hate teething
Poor A, teething sucks. It does make you feel so helpless when all you can do is push the pain reliever.
Hopefully tonight is easier.
Poor baby
Have you tried teething tablets? Those will usually as least distract J long enough to calm down and then he's happily snuggling, as long as we don't try to put him back in his crib. They seem to give him some instant relief while waiting for the Advil to kick in.
Maybe alternate advil and tylenol?
Poor A! Have your tried frozen green onions? I have heard they are a natural pain reliever. We were a tooth away from trying it last teething session...this time, we have 6 coming in at once, but Bo is handling it pretty well! Cold food and Tylenol are working over here.
