Thank you so much for your post about DCPs yesterday. I knew that they worked hard and got crappy pay without benefits but I did not know that the parents often treat them badly. It was a very good reminder to me that, no matter how busy I am, I can always do a little something for them just because I am grateful for all they do. After reading your post yesterday I told DH about it and we brought donuts to the teachers at DS's daycare today. It isn't anything big but maybe it is a good gesture to let them know that I am thinking of them and appreciate them. I can not thank you enough for the reminder! I am going to try to bring them a little something every month even if it is just a box of cookies.

Your welcome! I didn't want it to sound like it was a pitty party thing or anything so I hope it didn't come across like that. I loved working with the kids and would have stayed with the job if I could afford to work there. I was just hoping that if someone with tight finances thought a small gift or a handwritten card was not as great as a 20 dollar gift card or a bigger gift, they would know it wasn't true because we appreciated ALL gifts, notes or cards!
