So I have been reading this series. It's great. It's the Molly Murphy series by Rhyss Bowen. It takes place at around the turn of the century in New York. It's pretty good, they are whodunnits and I love them. They are award winning and entertaining but still pretty light reads.
Last night I read one where the flu hits New York pretty hard and lots of people die. I was thinking as I was reading it that it must be the Spanish Flu. Then in the middle of the night I woke up bothered because the Spanish Flu epidemic happened after WW1 and I was really upset because this is kind of a big mistake. But then I realized that it's possible there was a flu epidemic in New York that wasn't Spanish Flu and I have been googling all morning looking for evidence of this.
I am a nerd.
Re: I am a huge nerd.
I love it
ETA: I think we have a lot in common. We're both nerds named Sam. I also noticed the other day in one of your threads that your DD called your DS Jamie. DH and I are planning to name our next kiddo James if it a boy (after Jimmy McNulty from The Wire - DH is a total dork). Have you ever mentioned your DD's name? I hope its not Eva - that would be too weird
lol no her name is Scarlett. But Jamie is actually James but there are 3 other guys named James in our family. Jamie saves on confusion.
Hahaha...Scarlett is a beautiful name
I thought there was another Eva on this board, but I can't remember who she belongs to.
