Tommee Tippee pumps

I'm looking into purchasing my own breast pump and have been interested in the Tommee Tippee double electric breast pump.  I work full time and am on the larger size (DD) and I wanted a silicone flange for more comfort and a better fit.  I have been using a friend's Ameda Purely Yours but am wanting something a little smaller and softer.  I own a manual Medela Harmony and it is certainly more comfortable than the Ameda, but there is no way I can pump both sides in the 2 15 min breaks I have a day.  Has anyone used the Tommee Tippee double electric pump and how does it compare with the Medela?  I know the Freestyle has soft flanges, but it is sooooo much more expensive.  I'm just wondering if this is a good alternative.  I plan on BF as long as possible (going on 10 months already!) and this is my first child, so I wanted something a little better quality that will last if we are able to have more children.

Re: Tommee Tippee pumps

  • Also, since my son doesn't really care for bottles, he uses sippy cups.  The only one that we have had success with is one of the Tommee Tippee ones, and I use those bottles to pump into.  So it would be convenient to use the TT pump for that reason too.

  • I don't have any input on your question about the TT electric pump, I only have a TT manual pump, which I like. TT makes an adapter so you can use their bottles with a different brand pump. It's like $5 at BRU. Just in case you go with a different pump. Smile

  • I had a TT electric pump and it quit working a week in. I exchanged it for a Medela. That was just my experience! I feel that the suction is better than the TT.
